About Ebbtide Guide

Ebbtide Guide is an independent fan site about Ebbtide, the real-time survival strategy game from ProjectAlive. It is not affiliated with ProjectAlive, and it is not an official wiki.

Where every page comes from

Ebbtide is pre-release, so there is no wiki to mine and no build to test. That shapes how this site is written. Each page is built from four public sources, in this order of authority:

  1. The Steam store page for Ebbtide (appid 4915700) — the developer's own description of the systems, plus the published system requirements, languages and categories.
  2. ProjectAlive's Steam announcements — the developer's first-person posts, including the 15,000 wishlist update of 21 October 2026.
  3. The official trailer, read frame by frame — chapter cards, HUD readouts and district labels that appear on screen.
  4. The public discussion board, used to find out what players are actually asking, not as a source of mechanics.

If a claim cannot be traced to one of those, it does not appear on the site. When the store page does not publish something — a price, a release date, a GPU requirement — the page says what has been published and stops there rather than filling the gap.

How the pages are structured

Guides answer a task, not a keyword. Each one opens with a direct answer, then explains the mechanic with a table where the information is tabular: district states, unit roles, fire-support systems, requirements. Screenshots are official store or trailer material and are captioned with what is actually in the frame.

Corrections and updates

If a page is wrong, it gets fixed rather than defended. Because the game is pre-release, two kinds of change are expected:

  • New publication. A price, a release date, final system requirements or a playtest date would each change several pages at once.
  • Post-launch drift. Once the game ships, mechanics described from the store page get re-checked against the build, and the footer date moves with each pass.

Send corrections through the contact page. Include the page URL and what you saw instead.

What this site is not

  • Not a data mine. No stat tables invented from a screenshot's readout, and no balance numbers presented as if they were extracted from the game files.
  • Not a hype site. A wishlist count is reported as a wishlist count, not as a launch signal.
  • Not a key or code site. Ebbtide has no redemption system, so there are no codes here and there never will be a page pretending otherwise.
  • Not a spoiler site. Pages stay mechanics-first while the story is unreleased.
